3 months and Not Happy About it!

My baby is 3 months! It's crazy to see how much she's changed. I even squeezed her into the 0-3 onesie we used for the 1 and 2 month shoots. When you see the pictures side by side, you really see how much she's changed!

The poor thing also had her second set of immunisations today. She was due two weeks ago, but I am an awful mother and thought the next set was due 16 weeks when in reality there was a 12 week set in there too. Oops!

She was a trooper like always. The 5 in 1 seemed to hurt her a bit more than the Meningitis one. She took a nice two and a half hour nap afterwards to ease her trauma.

But she weighs 13 and a half pounds (50th percentile) and is 64 centimeters long (98 percentile). That's our little super model!

We did a little photo shoot afterwards and then the poor baby was super fussy the rest of the day. I think her legs really hurt her and she needed a "being held" day because nothing was making her happy out of my arms. I secretly liked it :)

Ever since we got back from Luxembourg, her nap routine has been completely off. She needs a nap after every two hours of being awake, but will nap between 30 minutes and an hour. No more. I REALLY miss that long afternoon nap because without naps, mommy can't get anything done! Beggers can't be choosers I guess because baby girl goes down at 9 pm and sleeps until 5 pretty consistently and then 5:30 until 8 or 8:30. I'm VERY happy with that. I am also a bad mom and let her sleep on her tummy now right from the start. It's not recommended, but she sleeps so well. I just have to trust that she is a healthy baby and all will be fine.

Juliette is getting so interactive. She likes to "talk" to me all the time and to get my attention. She is using her hands really well - reaches for and most times can grasp exactly what she wants. It's truly amazing. She hasn't started to roll yet, but I think she's getting close. She got her hips on the floor (rolling from her back) but then couldn't figure out the arms bit.

We also have started going to the gym in September. Virgin Active Fulham Pools has a lovely creche and after 3 visits, I finally felt comfortable leaving Juliette there. The people are really nice and I feel like she is in good hands. She's been 4 times already!

Monday we have a reunion with our NCT friends to look forward to. Each day, I love more and more being a mother. It's absolutely fantastic - what a gift!

  1. She looks amazing! Hopefully she felt better from her shots quick! I can kind of relate to your naptime comment-- at Disney with Daniel we were glad that we "had" to take a break from the parks for his nap but we needed that time too!... maybe also to take a nap though! haha
